One of Victoria's pioneering fine wine estates, Taltarni has more than 50 years of history crafting wines of character and distinction from the Pyrenees highlands. The estate is particularly celebrated for its Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines, produced with a rigour that rivals Champagne, as well as powerful, long-lived red wines from its mature Pyrenees vineyards. The name Taltarni comes from the Djab wurrung language, meaning 'red earth' — a fitting description of the iron-rich soils that give the estate's reds their distinctive character.
