About the Estate

Dalwhinnie

Set in the rugged granite country of the Pyrenees at 510 metres elevation, Dalwhinnie produces some of Australia's most celebrated cool-climate wines. Established by the Jones family in 1976, the estate has long been recognised as a benchmark producer of powerful yet elegant Shiraz and refined Chardonnay. The high altitude, cool nights and granite soils contribute to wines of remarkable depth and longevity. Dalwhinnie's The Eagle Shiraz is regarded as one of Australia's finest, consistently earning top scores at major international competitions.
